A WOMAN was hit on the head by a mobile phone thrown by her drunken partner.
The incident resulted in Yussiff Mohammed, 60, Minto Street, Lochgelly, appearing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on April 15 at an address in Lochgelly, he assaulted his partner by shouting, swearing, making derogatory remarks to her and throwing a mobile phone at her, striking her on the head to her injury.
Depute fiscal, Jennifer Graham, said the incident occurred when Mohammed returned to the house at 6.45pm having been out drinking.
He was intoxicated and began calling his partner abusive names such a “pig” and “lazy bitch”.
“He threw a mobile phone and it hit her on the head, causing a small bump,” added the depute.
Defence solicitor, Peter Robertson, said his client threw the phone but did not mean for it to hit her.
“He accepts he was under the influence at the time,” he added.
Sheriff Chris Shead fined Mohammed £200.
