A WOMAN bit a teenager during a drink fuelled assault in Lochgelly.
Louise Wallace, 21, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court after admitting that on July 29 last year, at a house in Timmons Park, she assaulted a 17-year-old girl and repeatedly bit her on the shoulder and neck and punched her on the face to her injury.
Depute fiscal Louise Graham said Wallace, now of Iona Park, Glenrothes, was known to the girl through a friend.
The victim was left with a burst lip and broken skin.
Her defence solicitor said his client had no excuse for her behaviour.
He said: “The young people had been drinking and they got into a fight.
"She has some mental health problems and has now knocked drinking on the head as she realises the consequences of her actions.”
Sheriff Craig McSherry deferred sentence for six months for Wallace to be of good behaviour.
