THIS week's Down Memory Lane pictures come from a Lochgelly man and the Times picture box.

One of them shows the Frew family at the turn of the 20th century.

They owned the Minto Hotel, in Bank Street, then went on to own hotels in Pitlochry. It was handed in by John Clarke, of Lochgelly.

The others show a scene in Kinglassie with then Councillor Colin Groom at the new Pelican crossing on the village's Main Street which he strongly campaigned for to improved road safety on a busy stretch of road. He is with David Taylor, of the then Cardenden and Kinglassie Community Council. The picture is between 25 and 30 years-old.

The others show Andrew Gronbach receiving an award at the family butchers shop on Cowdenbeath High Street and the preparation of the ground for the construction of Campbell Court on Lochgelly Main Street. These are around 20 years old.

If you have an old photograph you would like to see in our Down Memory Lane feature send it to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take it to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
