A LOCHORE man has been warned he could be facing a jail sentence after assaulting a female shop worker.
James Connolly, 28, of New Flockhouse, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday.
He admitted that on June 15, at the Co-op Group store, Bank Street, Lochgelly, he assaulted a woman working there by pushing her on the body.
He also admitted that he then behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by repeatedly shouting, swearing, refusing to leave when asked to do so and making threats of violence.
Sheriff Charles MacNair called for reports but told Connolly: “This was an assault on a worker in her place of employment. The prospect of a non-custodial sentence is very, very, remote.”
Connolly will return to court for sentencing on October 11.
