A LOCHGELLY woman has appeared in court after becoming involved in a fight at a local chemist shop.
Fiona Hutchison, 40, of Page Street, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on January 18 at Rosewell Pharmacy, Bank Street, Lochgelly, she acted in a threatening or abusive manner and fought with another woman.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf told the court both women were known to each other.
“Words were heard by staff and when they were outside they could see the accused had started a fight with the complainer. Police were called,” she added.
“The accused was interviewed and said words were exchanged and matters got out of hand.”
Defence solicitor Roshni Joshi said her client was a first offender and was “embarrassed to find herself in court”.
She added: “The incident lasted no more than a matter of minutes. This was a one-off.”
Sheriff Robert Weir deferred sentence until December 6 for Hutchison to be of good behaviour.
