A FRESH bid has been tabled to give the old Jubilee Bar in Lochgelly a "new lease of life".
Mrs Louise Irvine, whose address was given as 5 Cartmore Industrial Estate, is hoping Fife Council will grant planning permission to change the use from pub to a five bedroom home.
And her plans include a gymnasium for her two sons, both keen amateur boxers.
Two previous applicants had sought permission, in 2013 and 2015, to turn the building on Auchterderran Road into a shop but both were refused.
Mrs Irvine's plan includes alterations to convert the pub and the flat above to make a single dwelling house.
A supporting statement from the agent said: "The applicant and her family propose propose to convert and renovate the property to form a five bedroom family home with rear garden space and erect a double garage with gymnasium above for her two sons, who are keen amateur boxers."
It added: "The property has had a varied planning history with none of the proposals going ahead and since the previous owner vacated the first floor flat it has fallen further into a state of disrepair.
"The building occupies a prominent location at the eastern gateway of the town and its conversion and renovation, we feel, can only help to enhance this and give the property a new lease of life."
