VANDALISM to a Lochgelly play park has upset one of the residents of the estate at the north end of the town.
Roy Greig said: "I would like to extend my commiserations to the Neanderthals who dug up a part of the soft play area at the roundabout in the Paxton Crescent children's play park.
They receive my commiserations because, when they removed the layer of protective matting, they discovered that there was concrete underneath, therefore preventing them going back from whence they'd escaped..........Hades!"
The damage to the facility at Paxton Crescent is typical of the problems being experienced by Fife Council at a number of facilities through the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area.
This is at a time when the Cowdenbeath Area Committee passed considerable investment into improving play areas for children.
The damage in Paxton Crescent will cost a considerable sum of money to repair.
