HISTORIAN and Professor, Catherine Allgor, Ph.D, was a huge success on her visit to Lochgelly High School!
Dr Allgor made a presentation to a group of S2 girls who have chosen to study History and/or Modern Studies in S3.
Allgor’s effervescent manner and previous acting experience captivated the girls and she informed thinking with regard to the First Women of America and the impact they had on their nation.
The passion with which she spoke shone through and the girls were undoubtedly left with the belief that they can do anything if they put their mind to it!
The group spoke openly about their ambitions, aspirations and the universities which they would like to attend in the future.
They also used their knowledge of the Social Subjects to volunteer stories which showed their passion for social justice and their commitment to citizenship! What a day and what a wonderful woman!
