THE rector and staff at Lochgelly High School have been delighted to learn that Chemistry teacher, Dr Rachel Atkinson, has been chosen to represent Fife at the General Teaching Council for Scotland's celebration of probationer teachers in June of this year in Edinburgh.
Dr Atkinson's selection not only reflects the high quality of her practice but also the dedication and enthusiasm that she brings to her work.
Speaking of her nomination, she said: "I am delighted to have been chosen to represent all the Fife probationers.
"I have had a fantastic experience at Lochgelly High School which has allowed me to develop my skills and continue to learn.
"The support I have been given throughout this year has been excellent and the probationer scheme provides a superb framework to support new teachers throughout their first year."
School rector, Carol Ann Penrose said that she was delighted to learn about Dr Atkinson being chosen to represent Fife at the June event.
