LOCHGELLY Gala Committee is pictured receiving their cheque from the 4 Winds Trust which was the grand sum of £1680.
This will ensure that they have bunting for the big day this year in August. After the retirement of Helen Ross, Eileen McKenna, and Christine McGrath the new committee that has been formed and consists of George Courts, Derek Johnstone, Lindsay Dobbie, Raymond Wilson, Mel Wilson, Irene Smith, Rhona Gibbons, Elizabeth Wilson, George Elder, Tam Durham and Dod Kinnell.
George Courts said: "This was a really excellent boost for us from the 4 Winds Trust.
"We are now pleased to announce Gala tins are in all businesses in the town and all donations are greatly received to contribute to all the activities on the park on the day which is August 20".
The 4 Winds Trust, which is the community fund from the Little Raith Wind Farm, made several grants on top of the money given to the Lochgelly Gala Committee.
Among the groups to benefit were Lochgelly Albert, Lochgelly And District Amateur Musical Association, Lochgelly Old Folks Committee, the Indoor Bowling Club, Lodge Minto 385, Cowdenbeath Bowling Club, Lochgelly Community Development Forum and the Heritage Group.
