ON February 9 Lochgelly High's S1 Girls’ Dance Group, mentored by Natasha Melville (PE Teacher), were in competition with a number of other Fife secondary schools.
Although a number of skilled dance troupes were in attendance, the delightful LHS dancers were on point!
They showed skill, grit and determination in the field of hip-hop.
Said Natasha: "We couldn’t have hoped for more when they sailed through the heats and strutted their stuff to success, taking the top spot! Well done to the 2017 winners of the Fife Schools’ Dance Championships… Lochgelly High School!"
School rector Ms Carol Ann Penrose and Miss Petty (Year Head for S1-S3) were incredibly proud of the girls and enjoyed a celebratory photo on their return to school.
