PUPILS from Lochgelly High School showed they are in sync by starring at dance competition at Beath High on Thursday.
The school's 2017 dance competition gave S1-S3 and senior youngsters from extra curricular school clubs the opportunity to perform on stage and compete against their peers in a fun, enjoyable environment, and a packed programme saw a variety of styles on show.
After the opening act was performed by S3 pupils from Beath, the S1 dancers were first on the programme and a mix of hip-hop and contemporary moves and sounds lit up the stage.
Teams from Beath, Lochgelly, Dunfermline and St Andrews high schools performed routines and it was a hip-hop style that proved most impressive as Lochgelly's 'Fire - It's Lit' display was declared the winner in the S1 category.
St Andrews took home the S2 title for their 'Pass the Dutch' routine while the S3 winners were Balwearie High School.
While hip-hop proved to be a winning formula for Lochgelly, the outcome wasn't as hip-hop and happening for Beath's senior stars as they missed out on success to St Andrews, while Erin Meakin was chosen as dancer of the day.
