LOCHGELLY again is without post office facilities.
Resident Alex Stean went to get something from the Main Street Costcutters facility on Friday only to learn it the post office in the shop was not operational.
Alex told the Times: "It was closed on Friday and my wife who works in Cardenden Post Office, had people down from Lochgelly who weren't too happy".
Alex contacted the Post Office and was told in an email: "Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances this branch has closed, the team are looking into resuming services as soon as possible within the local area".
Last year the Main Street facility was out of action for some time then re-opened.
Over the past few years the people of a town of almost 10,000 people, have had had a few spells without a post office, the longest being around six weeks.
