WITH Crossgates, Cowdenbeath and Benarty getting plaudits in the 2014 Fife in Bloom awards, Kelty Greening Group is to explore if villagers want to see Kelty involved in 2015.

The Greening Group, part of Kelty Community Council, has been very active over the past couple of years in getting a number of initiatives moving which has given the village a nicer look in spring and summer.

And now they want to explore if there is a desire amongst the public to see this developed further with a view to entering the Fife in Bloom awards and they are holding a public meeting on Wednesday 14th January, at 7pm, in the Moray Institute.

Said the Greening Group’s Ben Conway, “There has been a lot going on in making the village look nicer and it would be good to take part in the Fife in Bloom activities.

“If there is enthusiasm from the people of Kelty to get involved then we can move ahead but we want to hear what people think and we hope that anyone interested in this will come out next Wednesday and tell us what they think.”
