NO need to leave the area to get your Christmas tree this year.
Pick up your perfect tree at Blairadam Forest, near Kelty, and enjoy a winter walk on one of the scenic forest trails.
Forestry Commission Scotland’s Christmas Tree Sales Centre will be open every day from last Saturday until Tuesday 23rd December from 9am – 4pm, where you can choose from a wide range of Fir, Pine and Spruce trees.
On Saturday 6th December, soak up the Christmas atmosphere by attending the Christmas Event at Blairadam. Listen to a yarn or two from a local storyteller, taste local venison, try your hand at a Christmas craft and buy a real Christmas tree. A team of experts – wardens, rangers and foresters – are on hand to offer advice on trees to fit all sizes of living rooms with hints and tips on how to care for it indoors. Tree stands, firewood, and kindling are also on sale, as well as festive wreaths .
Jenny Ventham, Fife Community Ranger, Forestry Commission Scotland, said, “Come along and enjoy the Christmas spirit with all the family by combining a winter walk with buying your Christmas tree. “We’ve got plenty helpers on hand to bag and carry trees to cars, so all the hard work is done for you.”
