THE recent Times article reporting the theft of plants and heathers from a display in Blackhall Square in the village has triggered a kind response from a local business.
A female employee from Morrisons, in Cowdenbeath, contacted Ben Conway, the convener of the Kelty Community Council Greening Group, with an offer of replacement plants.
Ben said, “This gift will enable the Community Council to replace the stolen floral display. We want to ensure that all areas of the village benefit from the greening projects so the plants are a welcome addition to our limited resources.” Fred Clarke, the Community Council chair, thanked Morrisons for their support for the community and he re-iterated that the Community Council would welcome any offers of sponsorship for the greening projects in the village.
