A FUN-FILLED event for the whole family is taking place at Baxters in Kelty this weekend in order to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland.

The Fife Friends group of Alzheimer Scotland are holding their main event of the year in support of the charity, and will feature a tombola, crafts and gifts as ways to get people involved and raise money.

The organisers are four former crafters who all got together to get involved in the idea. One of them, Elizabeth Pritchard, said they have high hopes for the fundraiser. “The event is in its second year at Baxters,” she explained. “We only formed last July and managed to make around £800 from the event last year, so we’re aiming for a four-figure sum from this year’s event.

“It’s always lots of fun, people have a good time and there are lots of helpers on the day.” The event is taking place at Baxters Home Farm, Kelty, on the 3rd, 4th and 5th October from 10am to 4pm.
