A KELTY man has appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court after he repeatedly tried to contact his partner and her son while on bail.

Allan Shields, 36, of Oak Street, was placed on a supervision order for two years and will also have to take part in a domestic abuse work programme as part of community payback order.

He previously admitted that having been granted bail on January 30 at Hamilton Sheriff Court, and subject to the condition not to contact or attempt to contact his partner and her son, he did so between January 30 and February 4.

At his home address and elsewhere, Shields failed to comply with the bail condition by repeatedly calling on the phone, sending text messages and leaving voicemails for his partner and her son.
