KIND hearts at Kelty Hearts have hit the bar to net a significant amount of cash for a very worthwhile cause.
Punters using the social club at New Central Park dug deep to raise £700 for CHAS (Children's Hospices Across Scotland) Rachel House, in Kinross, by buying raffle tickets on a weekly basis.
Lisa McArthur, who works in the social club on a Sunday, said: "We used to hand a free raffle ticket every week to customers, and the winning ticket holder would receive a steak pie.
"I then came up with the idea of selling the ticket for £1. We have been doing this now for a good six months and have managed to raise £700, and we have decided that we would like to donate this CHAS Rachel House, Kinross."
The cheque was handed over to representatives from CHAS, who provide a full family support service for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions.
Through their hospices, home care services and hospital presence, they offer child palliative care, family respite and support.
Their base at Rachel House has facilities including a hydrotherapy room, a large accessible garden and areas for reflection, bereavement support and care.
