A KELTY man has been fined for making a threat to a neighbour during a row about children’s behaviour in their street.
In the dock was Alexander McArthur, 28, of Loch Leven Terrace.
After a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, McArthur was found guilty of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, acting in an aggressive manner and making a threat of violence.
During his evidence, McArthur admitted that at one point during the street row he had told the neighbour he would “kick the s*** out of him”.
However, he said this was in response to a threat made by his neighbour to “teach him a lesson”.
The trial heard that background to the dispute was an argument between children and accusations of bullying.
Sheriff Charles MacNair fined McArthur £200.
