A MAN who was found to be growing nine cannabis plants in his Kelty home had his sentence deferred this week for good behaviour.

Mitchell Beaton, now of Paterson Street, Methil, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday after previously admitting that on May 9, in a house in Keltyhill Road, he produced controlled class B drug cannabis.

Defence solicitor, Rosni Joshi, said her client took full responsibility from the outset and had since taken steps to distance himself from offending behaviour.

Sheriff Alastair Thornton deferred sentence for three months, until January 10, for him to be of good behaviour.
