THE man who was murdered in Kelty on Wednesday was described as a 'doting father' by his family.
The family of Colin Oliphant has released a statement in tribute to him.
Mr Olipant passed away at an address in Keltyhill Avenue at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6.
Following a post mortem examination it was established that he was attacked beforehand, sustaining a number of injuries to his body.
Police Scotland's Major Investigation Team are now leading the investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding this death and identify whoever was responsible.
In a statement issued through Police Scotland, the family of Mr Oliphant said: "Colin was a doting father and much loved by those who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
"We kindly ask members of the public to respect our privacy while we grieve."
