A KELTY woman said she would poke her victim's eyes out because she stained a carpet.

The night after a party Debbie Miller sent a whole host of malicious messages, because her friend believed the woman had left a stain on her carpet.

Miller, 33, of Keltyhill Road, previously admitted that on January 13, at Leys Park Road, Dunfermline, and elsewhere in Fife she did, whilst acting with another person send, by means of a public electronic communications network namely audio Facebook messages, to the complainer, that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character, in that she did repeatedly shout, swear, utter offensive remarks, utter threats of violence and utter racially offensive remarks, and it will be proved that aforesaid offence was racially aggravated.

Depute fiscal, Dev Kapadia, told Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday: "The complainer had known the other person for two years but had only met Miller the day before the incident. It appears that they had been drinking alcohol in a social setting.

"The following day text messages were sent between Cochrane and the complainer and there was some discussion that a stain had appeared on the carpet."

The victim was then sent a multitude of disgusting text and audio messages that were often violent and racially offensive.

One such message said the victim owed £500 for a new carpet and if she did not pay it then Miller would come and find her and poke her eyes out.

Defence solicitor, John Bain, said his client had been known to him for quite some time and in most instances alcohol was to blame for her behaviour.

"Suffice to say Ms Miller was drunk and she involved herself in someone else's argument and intervened on her behalf."

Sheriff Craig McSherry ordered Miller to pay a £600 fine.
