ELEVEN community groups from Kelty were given a boost this week with a cash injection from the Moray Development Trust.
The groups had successful applications for funds and were presented with their cheques on Friday night.
Cowdenbeath councillor Alex Campbell said the money would go towards a variety of uses.
"The groups applied for some funding to do day trips or buy apparatus," he explained. "They handed out £3,000 between them and groups that received money included Age Concern, the church, the Scouts, the karate club and the gala.
"The trust has accumulated a bit of money for the last two years and they thought it would be a good idea, as a community group, to do a reciprocal night.
"All the money will go back into the community."
