COWDENBEATH MSP Annabelle Ewing paid a visit to the Mining Heritage Exhibition in Kelty Community Centre as part of a Mining Heritage Weekend in in the village which included the showing by the Kelty Community Cinema of the iconic film The Happy Lands.

The MSP was impressed with what she saw: “I was absolutely delighted to have been able to to have the opportunity to have a look round what was a fantastic exhibition on Kelty's mining heritage.

“This truly has been a tremendous community effort with the pulling together of old photos, memories, memorabilia and some wonderful old banners. I want to say a massive well done to all involved.”

The event ran over two days and attracted more than 2500 visitors.
