A KELTY woman's anger issues resulted in her being ordered to pay £775 in compensation.

Appearing for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Candice Henderson (24) was also placed on a community payback order with included supervision of 18 months and her having to carry out 90 hours of unpaid work.

She had earlier admitted that she had, without reasonable excuse, wilfully or recklessly destroyed or damaged property belonging to another by repeatedly striking a car with a chair or something similar and and unknown object.

Henderson, of North Drum Street, also kicked and punched the car, causing damage to it during the incident at Provost Mill Way, in Kelty, on May 1 last year.

Defence solicitor, Stephen Morrison, said his client clearly had "underlying issues" with anger management.

"These have been brought about by the combination of a previous abusive relationship and the unfortunate passing of her father when she was only 15 years of age," he said.

"She has now significantly curtailed her alcohol intake and she has not taken any alcohol since before Christmas."

Before sentencing, Sheriff Charles Macnair said a "significant amount of damage" had been caused to the vehicle.
