DEPUTY leader of Labour in Scotland, Alex Rowley, has accused First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as being the 'Minister for Cuts'.
The MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife is set to launch the Labour campaign for the council elections in May and this week he claimed that local authorities in Scotland were facing having to make massive trimmings in spending.
He said that the recent spending proposals from the SNP Scottish Government will see cuts of £327m in services.
And added: "The First Minister said she would be a champion of the poor and the working class but instead she has become the nation's Minister for Cuts. Our councils are in crisis."
The SNP have accused their opponents of being 'silent while the Conservative Government at Westminster puts into effect cuts on Scotland's budget'.
