THE Kelty Wish Foundation rallied behind local boy Billy Thomson last weekend to raise xx.

As we reported on last week's front page, seven-year-old Billy has had a difficult start to life and suffers from severe autism and Asperger syndrome, which means he struggles to communicate.

Local charity the Kelty Wish Foundation organised a Christmas variety show with proceeds going to a sensory room for Billy.

Billy's gran, Ann Wilson, said: "It was absolutely fabulous! Everyone who performed were just normal, hard-working people that give up their time to help.

"The charity really needs some sort of recognition for what it does.

"People put so many hours of hard work into this and I can't thank the people of Fife enough for all their support for Billy."

An auction with the top prize of a family tour of Rangers' Ibrox stadium contributed to the total.

'Michael Jackson' also made a 'thrilling' appearance and 12-year-old Holly Fetter was the star of the show.

David Hodgson, chairman of the Kelty Wish Foundation, said: "The money will be split when we get it all in as we are also helping another cause in Kelty.

"We will then meet with Billy's family and see what stuff he still needs."
