AS of the week commencing Monday Kelty Job Club will now be adding an additional day to get support.

The Job Club currently runs every Wednesday from 10am – 12 noon but Fife Council staff will now be adding on an additional day to help job seekers to gain additional support and access to the job club.

The Job Club will now run on a Monday (also 10am-12noon) and a Wednesday.

Welfare Support Assistant, Linzi Forbes said: “Job seekers are now expected to job search up to 36 hours a week, running two job clubs in Kelty every week will give our clients the additional access and support they need to fulfil this commitment”.

This is a drop-in service open to anyone looking for work. Fife Council staff are on-site to assist clients with their job search, CVs, application forms etc. Staff can also give advice on welfare issues i.e. benefit sanctions, crisis grants etc. Staff can refer clients to other agencies i.e. the local food bank, Community programmes such as IT classes, Food Hygiene and First Aid etc.

In addition to the job club the Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) are available during the job club on the Wednesday offering a drop in service to job club clients and the general public who need free advice or information.

So why not go along have a coffee and a chat and see if the staff can help you.
