A MEETING is being held tonight (Wednesday) at 6.30pm in the Morary Institute, as part of the process to set up a Trust to take over the running of the community facility.
When the new village community centre opens next year a number of groups currently housed at the Moray Institute will move to the new facility.
However, local councillor Alex Campbell feels there will still be a need for the former miners' institute in the village.
And a number of voluntary groups in Kelty agree and have been supporting the moves to set up a Trust to steer the way ahead for the Moray Institute.
Said Mr Campbell, "The Insitute is an important part of Kelty's history and can offer a base for so many of the village organisations.
"The establishment of the Trust will be an important aspect in the development of the project and I would ask people interested in the move to come to the Institute tonight at 6.30pm."
