ON the 80th Anniversary of Willie Gallacher being elected as an MP, the Fife Morning Star Readers and supporters group are holding a public meeting to celebrate this.

The group have a speaker Jim White, who campaigned with Willie Gallacher, who served as the MP for West Fife, which included parts of the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area, for 15 years.

Willie became the Communist MP for West Fife in 1935 and held the seat until 1950.

This meeting will take place in Lochgelly Centre, at 7pm on Tuesday 3rd February. It is open to the public and everyone is more than welcome to attend.
