AFTER a highly successful gala day thoughts are already moving ahead to Crossgates Gala 2018.
Chairman of the organising committee, Barry Tillier, is stepping down after six years involvement and he is urging people to get involved in the committee.
He said: "I have been involved since we started the gala back up and we have a vibrant committee.
"However, you could always do with a few more people to help out and that is why we are hoping some will come forward to help out with the organisation of the 2018 event."
Barry added: "Since we started things up the support we have received from the villagers has been outstanding and on behalf of the committee I thank everyone who has made donations.
"The amount of funding that is generated is amazing for a small village and it all ensures that things go ahead.
"A few more people getting involved to help out will make sure that everything goes well in organising things, for really it will start again within the next few weeks."
