FANS of Cowdenbeath who organised the Mia Brett Fund to support the daughter of the club’s right-back, Dean, this week announced that the fund has closed.
The supporters who organised a number of ventures to help the little girl who lost her mum and sister within a short space of time, were delighted to announced on Monday that the fund has realised over £28,000 for Mia.
The fans and Mia’s family would like to express their thanks to all who supported them in this, particularly fans of Dunfermline Athletic, Raith Rovers and Alloa, together with many local businesses and firms who all willingly and generously contributed to the fund.
Said a spokesperson for the fans’s group, “Thanks goes to all who made a contribution and the many clubs who donated items for the auction.
“The Brett family wish to thank all Dean’s team mates, fans and staff of Cowdenbeath FC for their unfailing support and kindness shown to Dean during these difficult times.”
