THE first family fun day to take place in Lumphinnans in recent years will be held in the village on Saturday.
The Lumphinnans Social Group, which got together in March, have been raising funds to host the event from 12-4pm at the football ground on Gagarin Way.
An action-packed day - which organisers hope will beat the weather - will include a fancy dress competition, children’s races, a bouncy castle, inflatables, a merry-go-round, food and drink stalls and much more.
It is hoped that if the event is a success then it will pave the way for it to become an annual fixture in Lumphinnans’ social calendar.
