For the first time, this year Street Pastors took part in the Cowdenbeath Gala.
The local group, “CLoCK Street Pastors” were pleased to have the assistance of their colleagues in the Dunfermline Street Pastors who gave them the loan of their truck, affectionately known as “Abraham”.
Abraham opens up to make a very comfortable safe haven for those looking for it in times of need.
The Street Pastors continue to patrol the Streets of the Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly and Kelty and have been well received by those they meet. In addition, some have been asked to assist with patrols in St Andrews during the forthcoming Open Championship at The Old Course.
Said chairman for the CLoCK Street Pastors, Rev Jon Magge, “There is no Street Pastors scheme there yet, though some have hopes of following the example of our own group.
“It is hoped that the presence of CLoCK Street Pastors and others will encourage them as they move forward in establishing such a support system for themselves”.
