LUMPHINNANS Primary School was the venue for the Gareth Blackadder Memorial Trophy tournament with primary school teams from Lumphinnans, Foulford, Kelty, Hill of Beath and Cowdenbeath.

The tournament was played with each team playing in a round robin format with the winning team collecting three points and one point for a draw.

The two teams with the most points would contest the final. Tournament organisers Peter and Linda Drummond felt a great day was had by all with some fantastic football played. The final itself was contested by Lumphinnans and Kelty with both teams providing excellent entertaining football in front of a large crowd of mums and dads.

End to end football was played and congratulations went to the eventual winners, Kelty, winning the trophy for their third time by a score of 4-1. The trophy was presented to the Kelty captain by Peter Drummond. He thanked all the participating teams, Kevin Drummond for refereeing the matches, Kelley Winsborough for time keeping, Linda Drummond for organising the trophies, Alan Williamson the janitor for putting up the goals and Lumphinnans head teacher Alana Kent for providing the goals and venue.
