YOUNG people across Fife have had their say in the Scottish Youth Parliament’s (SYP) election, voting-in the people they want to represent them at a national level and the Cowdenbeath members have been chosen.

In partnership with the SYP and Young Scot; following on from the success of the online voting system used the last time, young voters cast their vote online using their Myfife or Young Scot card.

The nine new Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYP) will serve for the next two years and are, Cowdenbeath constituency – John Banks and Andrew Kirk; Dunfermline constituency – Rachel Hunter and Lewis Akers; Kirkcaldy constituency – Kelly Given and Sam Aslam; Mid Fife and Glenrothes constituency – Keiran Cowan and Euan Greenwood; and North East Fife constituency – Katie Burke; The new MSYPs will take their places at the next sitting of the Youth Parliament in June.

Before that they will go through an induction and will meet a wide range of decision-makers in Fife and across Scotland.
