THE Stuart Juner Big Heart Foundation held its first Macmillan Cancer Care Coffee Morning in Cowdenbeath’s Broad Street Bowling Club which turned out to be a big success. The Foundation would like to thank all who very kindly donated their home baking and the generous donation by the Morrison’s store, in Cowdenbeath, for the huge variety of cakes and muffins. The Foundation raised £242.32 for Macmillan from the event.

Our picture shows Foundation chairman, Bobby Thomson, and Cowdenbeath Citizen of the Year, Jimmy Scally, who was delighted to give the event his backing.

The Foundation, which was set up in memory of former Citizen of the Year and staunch Cowden fan, will be doing a sponsored walk across the Forth Road Bridge on Sunday 12th October. Anyone wanting to take part should contact the Foundation secretary, Liz Juner, on 07580049199 for a sponsor form, and everyone is welcome.

Added Liz, “Tickets for the Halloween Party are now available by calling myself or 01383 510019. The party will be held on Friday 31st October in the Broad Street Bowling Club 7pm to 1am. There will be party games and a prize for the best male and best female fancy dress as judged by our citizen of the year, Jimmy Scally”.
