COWDENBEATH High Street is set to have several new businesses opening up in the coming weeks.
The town’s High Street Steering Group heard on Thursday that this was on top of the recent announcements of new stores being developed by Tesco and Aldi. The committee was told that the new businesses would include an E cigarettes shop; an ironing shop; a mobile phone shop; a tropical fish shop; a discount/bargain shop; and a Premier supermarket/convenience store.
The committee was heartened by the news after a period when closures dominated the retail hub of the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area.
