COWDENBEATH area residents should remember that they can have their electric blankets tested on Thursday 4th September.
Take your blankets to the Town House, 123 High Street, from 10 am until 1 pm. Testing is free and there is no limit to the number of blankets tested per person.
A block adapter exchange scheme has also been introduced for this year’s project. Overloaded block adapters can be a fire hazard. If you use a block adapter you should take it along with your blankets. If you surrender it to the testers, you’ll be given a new 4 way bar adapter.
Led by Fife Council Trading Standards and the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, the project is funded by the Community Safety Partnership, Electrical Safety First and Scottish & Southern Energy plc.
