Staff at the Royal Mail's Cowdenbeath delivery office are expected to stage a walkout on Monday.
The action is part of a UK-wide campaign by the Communication Workers Union which began at an Edinburgh mail centre today.
CWU spokesman John Brown said, "Royal Mail are altering the jobs of its staff across the entire business without consultation and workers have had enough. They are not being treated fairly."
Over the weekend, staff at three delivery offices in Edinburgh, and offices in Dalkeith, Bo'ness, Bathgate and Irvine will strike.
On Monday, staff at Cowdenbeath's delivery office will join workers at mail centres in Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Alloa and Grangemouth in strike action.
Royal Mail said only about 800 out of its 12,000 Scotland-based workers would be involved in the walkout, which will affect 11 delivery offices.
A spokesman said: "We condemn the CWU for striking over much-needed modernisation and change which has already been successfully implemented by our people in the majority of offices around the UK and is working well."
