TWO members of staff from Scottish Water will also be judging the parade’s floats

Scottish Water Horizons, the commercial and renewables arm of the utility, is to donate £1,500 towards Cowdenbeath Civic Week and Gala Day.

Roy Dahl and Derek Ross, from SW Horizons, will be at the Gala Day on Saturday week (June 16) to present the cheque to organisers.

As well as the presentation they’ve also been asked to judge this year’s selection of floats, choosing first, second and third places in both the children’s and adults categories.

SW Horizons Industrial Manager, Roy Dahl, said: “Derek and I are honoured to be judging the floats at this year’s Gala which is now in its 40th year.

"SW Horizons has supported Cowdenbeath Civic Week for the past 15 years and has always been proud to support the community.

“SW Horizons has the Liquid Transfer Station in the town, which provides our customers with a safe place to dispose of their liquid waste. By storing and blending liquid waste, we ensure our customers waste can be safety disposed into the waste water network.

“We're delighted to continue our backing for this important community event in Cowdenbeath and are looking forward to attending the event on Saturday."
