A HEARTS Central Park welcome was given at Cowdenbeath's game with Annan Athletic on Saturday to Ian Murdoch and his son Shaun.
Ian and Shaun had made the 360 mile journey from Hednesford to be with Cowden.
They are both passionate Cowdenbeath and Wolves fans.
And they passed on the opportunity to see Wolves lift the English League Championship trophy at Molineux to come along and support Cowden.
Said Cowden director David Allan: "Ian originally comes from the Happyland in Lochgelly where he lived at 77 Hall Street until his father took the family south in the 1950s to work in the pits in the Midlands.
"They were making a weekend of it in celebration of Shaun’s birthday. So we were delighted to give Shaun very best wishes from everyone at Central Park on his birthday and we hope they both enjoyed the visit. Their two football teams are certainly demonstrating the ups and downs of the Beautiful Game this season."
