A 25-YEAR-OLD man carried out an assault in Cowdenbeath then went to Glenrothes where his violence continued.

Gary Telfer, currently a prisoner at Perth, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, where he admitted a string of offences.

On February 10, at Factory Road, Cowdenbeath, he assaulted his victim by repeatedly punching him on the head to his injury.

On the same day at Forres Drive, Glenrothes, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, acting in an aggressive manner and brandishing a baton.

He also admitted he was in possession of an offensive weapon, the baton.

Telfer further admitted that he then resisted two female police officers by struggling violently with them.

Sheriff Craig McSherry called for reports and Telfer will be sentenced on May 9, when he has other matters also calling at the court. He will remain in custody until then.
