TICKETS are now on sale for the Beath High School Nifty Fifty Reunion.

The event has already gathered much national interest with those from as far afield as London and Lochgelly being in touch with the organisers saying they would wish to attend.

The event is due to be held at Wee Jimmies, Cowdenbeath, on Saturday, 16 June 2018 from 7.00pm to 1.00am. Tickets cost £15.00 and will include a hot buffet.

There are to be competitions devised by one of the organisers, Craig “Benny” Bennet. There will also be a disco at which those still so minded and physically able to do so can cut some shapes!

Proceeds will go to Beath High School. This is in the hope that the school can use the funds to provide prizes at their Annual Awards Ceremony; something which the Nifty Fifty Class never had.

Said the lead organiser, Angela Lawrie: “There has been much interest in this event which we think may be a sell-out.

"This may be a once in a lifetime chance to catch up with school colleagues with whom you have lost touch. Former staff members have also agreed to come along so it should be a lovely night.”

Tickets are now available from Angela Lawrie at Delmor in Cowdenbeath, Wee Jimmies and for “townies” and other expats Craig Bennet at Morgans, 33 East Port, Dunfermline, has a small supply of tickets for sale.

Finally, to whet the appetite, the organisers found a poignant picture of Old Beath which we are happy to produce.
