BEING flexible in meeting the needs of pupils is helping Beath High School continue to ensure that staff are 'raising attainment and closing the gap'.
Rector Douglas Young told Cowdenbeath Area Committee that while staff recruitment problems were providing considerable challenges, results were continuing to show improvement and although there were situations to be met in the coming months the school was geared to developing skills for learning, life and work.
He told councillors: "We encourage an aspirational presentation policy focussing on what is best for our young people and not school statistics.
"INSIGHT indicates that considering our comparators, we do best for pupils with the lowest 20 per cent of our attainment cohort.
