THE first Down Memory Lane pictures of 2018 come from Lumphinnans man James McCormack.
They show himself as a young miner at the village's Peeweep Colliery.
Said Mr McCormack: "These were taken in 1954 when I was 17 years-old.
"It was during a visit underground by Rev McKenzie of Cowdenbeath North Church at the Junction. The other lad in the picture is George Sutherland."
Mr McCormack has donated the pictures to the Jennie Lee Library in Lochgelly for their mining display.
The other pictures come from the Times Picture Box and are shots of a summer gala day in the area thought to be in the 1960s.
If you have any old photographs you would like to see in Down Memory Lane send them to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
