A Cowdenbeath man went into a bar armed with a knife and began making threats.
Ian Sumnall, 31, of High Street, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He previously admitted that on June 17, at Partners Bar, High Street, Cowdenbeath, he was in possession of a knife without lawful authority or reasonable excuse.
He also admitted that on the same day and place, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by repeatedly swearing and making threats of violence whilst in possession of a knife.
The court was told Sumnall had no previous convictions and recently started working at Edinburgh Airport.
Sheriff Derek Reekie fined Sumnall £400.
