A COWDENBEATH man who was caught in possession of cannabis has been jailed for eight months.
Kenneth McKean's solicitor, Roshni Joshi, told Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday that his client would be seeking a custodial sentence for the conviction.
McKean, 41, of Dalbeath Crescent, previously admitted that between July 21 and October 6 at the same address, he did produce a controlled drug, namely Cannabis a Class B drug.
Ms Joshi explained that her client was in significant debt and there was no prospect of that getting better in the near future.
McKean had also been subject to a drugs testing order.
The quantity of the cannabis was valued at £29.
