ARE you 50 next year? Did you start Beath in 1980? If so, then you are warmly invited to a Reunion (The Beath High School “Nifty-Fifty Reunion”).

And it is hoped that the Re-union will raise some funds for the Beath High School of today.

The venue will be Wee Jimmies, on Cowdenbeath on High Street, on June 16 2018 at 7.00pm

“This may be a once in a lifetime chance to meet up with school pals with whom you have lost touch,” said organiser Angela Lawrie, the Cowdenbeath businesswoman.

“It is hoped that former staff members will also be attending.”

Angela, who is being helped by Craig Bennet to organise the Re-Union, added: “The the evening will include a buffet and a disco, hosted by Brian Hodge, at which you can cut some shapes to 80’s music!!! However, some ships on the Forth might turn quicker than some of those attending!”

Tickets will be going on sale early in the New Year, priced a very reasonable £15.00. A raffle will also be held. A request for raffle prizes will be made in the New Year. Proceeds from the Re-union will go to School Funds.

Angela, who runs Delmor Estate Agents in the town, would be keen to hear from you. Contact Angela to let her know of your interest in attending.

She concluded: “Please also let our school colleagues know about the Re-union”.

The former pupils involved of course were educated at the Beath building that was knocked down a good few years ago and we have a picture of the facility which was replaced a decade ago by the new facility in Foulford Road.
